Shorthand is divided into 25 chapters which can be learnt in 2 ½ months as far as syllabus is concerned. To attain speed writing, one requires at least 3 months’ time. On an average, it requires 6 months for attaining speed writing of 80 wpm (words per minute).
On the other hand, one should have typing skills. Directly typing from English script is not a big deal. It is a challenging task to identify the coded language and typing. This has to be practiced.
Many students are not aware of what is skill test. Though Skill Test is of qualifying nature, means to say, one should get minimum pass marks which is 45 out of 100. That means, one can commit a maximum of 30 mistakes which includes spelling, punctuation marks, para-phrasing, Capital letters etc. As Shorthand language is completely a new concept, one tends to forget if he/she is not in regular practice till the date of Examination.
We, at Bharggav Steno Skills Centre, impart training till the date of examination to enable the students to come out successfully. Bharggav Steno Skills Centre offers full time training programme for students interested in these posts. Ours is the only Centre offering Full Time Course.
ABOUT BHARGAVV STENO TRANING INSTITUTE
many other languages, including Latin. Pitman's system uses a phonemic orthography. For this reason, it is sometimes known as phonography, meaning "sound writing" in Greek. One of the reasons this system allows fast transcription is that vowel sounds are optional when only consonants are needed to determine a word. The availability of a full range of vowel symbols, however, makes complete accuracy possible. Isaac's brother Benn Pitman, who lived in Cincinnati, Ohio, was responsible for introducing the method to America. The record for fast writing with Pitman shorthand is 350 wpm during a two-minute test by Nathan Behrin in 1922. Despite being 175 years old Pitman's shorthand is still relevant today and used by thousands of journalists, executive PAs and secretaries across the world.
